    1959 Berinia 530 sewing machine ??

The 530 Record is by all accounts a great machine. The quality is going to be up there with the 1950s Pfaffs and Elnas, and a Bernina is much less common. I would definitely hold onto it.

    1940s? Hotpoint Two Door Fridge

Ya know, the drip trays from a GE of the period "might" fit. GE and Hotpoint were were sort of Ford and Mercury: same car with different grill and trim.

    1940s? Hotpoint Two Door Fridge

It was built by GE, and I'm guessing is 1939-1947ish. The shelves are probably not the same size as the single door models, but ya never know! Worst case you have enough that a metalworker could replicate the others for you. It looks like it'll clean up beautifully. Enjoy your new fridge!

    Singer Sewing Centers

Well with at least 20 kids, there's bound to be some entertaining exploits. Winnaretta Singer married nobility twice. The second one seems to have been a loving, albeit not erotic relationship. And her brother Paris Singer had a child with Isadora Duncan. They got around. :)

Do any of you know bicycles?

Don't forget you can always change out bike saddles and tires to suit different needs. My first bike seat was awful, I went to a leather one with less padding and its amazingly comfortable. (Well, for me at least.)

Pfaff 561 G commercial sewing machine

I've used a Pfaff 145 industrial and the thing is amazing! It goes through automobile vinyl, batting, and oilboard backing like its a piece of shirt cotton. For more normal sewing, I'll back up Norgeway's Mom; my Singer 301 is pretty sweet too.

    Refrigerator technology over the years

The Admiral Dual-Temp was a refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment above. (Think like a GE or Hotpoint Combination.) Admiral took over Stewart-Warner and released the Admiral brand for 1946. Stewart-Warner might have and a combination machine before the war but I've not found proof if...

Nice Suburban! Does it still have the 216?

    GE Monitor Top Question.

Have you checked the relay yet? If your relay is bad, a Supco RO-81 is a functional replacement.

    Westinghouse refrigerator

The actual model number will depend on the year, but that cabinet was made from 1939 til sometime after the war.

How would I ship a Radarange?

I have a buyer for my grandmother's Amana Radarange, but I need to transport it to the buyer several states away. Any ideas or suggestions on shipping it? Thanks!

    Vintage Fridge Thread

I do not have an exact year, but GE was using SO2 until at least the 1942 model range, possibly later. I would think the conversion to R12 Freon came in the late 1940s. And yes, they use the same big compressors as the CK series Monitor Tops. They have a single horizontal piston in a Scotch...

vintage 1941 GE refrigerator repair help needed

Melissa, I would second the notion of letting the refrigerator rest in an upright position for a day to let oil return to the compressor. After that, how cold does the food compartment get? How cold does the freezer get?

    Who made Coronado fridges?

A friend of mine just got a 1946 Coronado refrigerator, and neither he nor I know who made it. If anybody know's I'd love to hear from them.
