What a stunning machine. Was the lint filter on this effected similarly to the solid-tub Filter-Flos of the time? The integrated Hotpoint crest-chute for the WonderRinse is immensely clever, but--to turn a phrase from "Two and a Half Men"--trying to get a bottle of softener to pour cleanly...

Cord replacement On our Spin-Drier, the cord meanders to the on/off - speed control section on the control panel that's held in place with springs.  Getting in there is a beeyatch.  Do some of these go to the motor first?  The wires would have to wander through those switches before heading to...

Fan off with compressor off I find this prevents the unit from blowing sweated humidity back into the air once the evaporator stops being cold, and would otherwise release whatever moisture is trapped on it.  It's not a big deal, but I notice the difference.
