Maytag is good, so are Whirlpool, LG and Bosch. Frigidaire are truly the bottom of the heap. Had one myself for a while. Whatever you get you need at least middle of the line on up toward the top of the line to get the best cleaning.

It was timed. All Frigidaire washers up until right before the end of the solid tub machines were timed fill. There were a few middle of the line and top of the line machines with a solid tub at the very end of the solid tub machines that were meter fill machines. They accomplished that much...

Looks like the first Frigidaire "pulsamatic" machine. Apparently this was a less expensive model introduced for people on a more limited income. They were a one speed, one cycle unit that worked pretty well.

Invest in an agitamer and you will remove it with no ill effects.

The 1-18 machines would hold a tremendous load of clothes. The only machine I have ever known that actually washed better with a larger load of clothes versus a smaller load. They held nearly twice what the models previously would hold. The "skinny mini" and the separate units made like them...

It sounds like this dishwasher is probably better than my Kenmore/Whirlpool made one. I know my Kenmore/LG made front load washer and dryer is certainly excellent.

This place reminds me of one that was here in Tulsa at one time in the early 70's. That was were I encountered nearly every rare and interesting washer and dryer mentioned in this forum. They did away with all of it before the 80's arrived though.

It will be very interesting to see what this new machine is like and watch as it washes a load of clothes. This final year of speed queen washers really does put an end to traditional top loading washing machines as we know them. We shall see what the future holds in store...

???? You need to very carefully read that ad again. That isn't what I get out of it. The front load washer alone is $1000, the other machines are additional.

It would be worth a lot if it had the matching washer to go with it.
