    What DON'T You Care For?

Grew up with Kenmore DM Roto-rack dishwashers. Didn't poop where we ate. Kept us fed, housed and clothed. Dishes always clean. Oh sure, my dad had some complaints out in the field, but mainly for noises.

    What DON'T You Care For?

Re; Norge. Borg Warner? In my opinion, I wouldn't judge post 1970-2000 GE dishwashers by a 1966 model. They got better.

    Whirlpool Washer Rant!

Seems like a delicate agitation to me.

Let's talk jeans. Love them or hate them?

I will hopefully be back to doing more hiking, walking, etc. a month or two after my knee replacement next month.

    Whirlpool Washer Rant!

It isn't only Whirlpool. Our son bought a brand new home with Samsung appliances already there. The top load washer would not spin. It was 2021, and parts were still scarce. It needed an new control board. Too long of a wait, so Samsung offered a refund. They did not want it back either. He...

Let's talk jeans. Love them or hate them?

Oh, some guy's might just as well. Pants hang half way down their butt cheeks with their underwear showing all day doing yard work, shopping, etc. In flip flops with socks too. They walk and talk in flip flops around the neighborhoods.

Like a Gaseteria, or a Laundromat.

    Hoover Keymatic!!

I met a British family in Fort Lauderdale Florida in 1989. The dad worked for Hoover in Myrther Tydfil Wales. He won one of the free vacations they raffled.

    I turned on my Furnace

Good to start it to test before you really need heat. I change or vacuum the 20x16x5" filter and inside the compartments and blower spring and fall. I oil the air intake inducer motor shaft with light oil, and pour a cup of Vinegar and water down the condensate drain. Keep spare batteries on...

    Console stereos: 1958-84

There are many more good ones that follow that song in succession. My parents had a wide range of taste in music. Mom liked Mario Lanza, Chopin, Maurice Chivaliet', Ray Conniff, Streisand, Andy Williams, Billy Extine, Broadway soundtracks, etc. Dad liked Nat King Cole, Chet Atkins, Xavior...

Whirlpool Calypso -- does this look right to you?

I have only seen one ever in use. It seemed to do a good job and the owner said he liked it's performance and soil/stain removal. A constant waterfall onto the load, and swashbuckling. Like doing laundry in a rapid flowing stream on a rock?

    A506 won't spin

My 1988 Maytag with that transmission did it once. I remember calling my dad after I removed the front panel to ask him why. He told me to move the timer to another spin cycle, and it spun, and never did it again. I left that washer with my ex in 1993.

    American tube radios...

My dad had several Catalyn cabinet radios. I gave him a collectors book for Christmas back in the 90's when he began. One was a teal color with a gold dial. I don't know if it was a Crosley. He sold them all. My cousins had an RCA hifi phono like the one Matt posted in blonde without legs.

Dishwashers losing popularity in US Homes???

Re; married to cellphones. While not untrue, but not a reason for the above really. I also have no desire to access any appliance or other home system via my mobile phone. I can start my car with an app., but I don't. It has a remote start on the fob, which we rarely use because we keep it...

    Bose buys McIntosh (audio equipment)

Exactly Matt. I meant professional techs as yourself, who often get repair projects that were botched by other shops. A reputable tech will test, scope, replace, test again, until the unit is within factory spec's.
