    Royal chef clothes washer

Boise Idaho. Don’t even know what to make of it, but I’m guessing it’s probably from the Early to mid 50s? https://www.facebook.com/share/1PUja9t4o1/?mibextid=79PoIi

    Unusual ~1940s sears kenmore washer

Looks to be in Seattle and possibly even working as it was all hooked up in someone’s basement. Never seen anything quite like it before! https://www.facebook.com/share/191QtDYRVH/?mibextid=79PoIi

    May Is Ironrite Month

My parents are in Okemos practically daily, but I doubt they’d appreciate being asked to man handle and store one of these beasts. Still irritates me how many antique appliances pop up in mid Michigan compared to out west.

    1958/59 GE Combination Refrigerator

Also just because it caused so many problems for me, make sure the drain water is flowing thru the hose and in back and down to the pan by the fan. Mine was clogged and was overflowing in to the cabinet for years and no one bothered to notice or fix it causing a nightmare for me. 🙄

    1958/59 GE Combination Refrigerator

The 1958 manual includes electrical schematics and tons of diagnostic info . I’d go thru the manual check list and start with the easiest things first - clear air flow, check the baffle etc which the manual diagnostics will have you check. Also check the door seals which if old will leak and...

    1958/59 GE Combination Refrigerator

Ofta! Glad I stuck with a manual defrost then. That does sound much more complicated and makes sense that it’s using more electricity - I think mine was a wash or maybe resulted in a slight uptick (if I’m being honest with myself 😅). But, what people don’t seem to factor in is that when you...

    1958/59 GE Combination Refrigerator

Hello and congratulations. I do think you need to provide a little more information for anyone to make any assessments or suggestions. I have a 57 version of this and the 1958 manual does say that the compressor should be running about half the time at typical ambient temperature room. That is...

    A RARE Youngstown....

Having grown up in Michigan, the irritating fact and irony that so many wonderful antiques pop up there is not lost on me. Most generational Michigander families had cabins up north and I remember some pretty cool vintage stuff in those cabins even in the 90s. Very cool dishwasher - hope it...

Kevin, Don't you need this one in your collection?

I’d assume it will close with no bids. Email the seller and settle on a price for when it doesn’t sell.

On the hunt for an electric percolator

Hi Barry! I’m still using it daily for my fancy local beans and It does fairly well. The proportions just require a lot coffee. I used it with some Starbucks the roommate had which I’m not a fan of for various reasons but I’ve noticed must be used in very different proportions than fancy...

Touche Got half of it right 🤣. Pretty nonetheless.

    Turquoise PowerShower

Looks like a matching Americana fridge beside it! Seems a bit steep price wise, especially since there is so little info included in the post.

On the hunt for an electric percolator

Hi Tom! Nice to meet another millennial and from the PNW, too! I don’t often get up to Seattle or the surrounding area, but maybe I’ll hit you up the next time I’m in the area! I am very excited to report that I finally took my potbelly percolator apart, and the bi metallic strips have small...

1963 Westinghouse DBD-30 dryer in MINT AQUA!

I honestly didn’t think you’d be interested so I didn’t post the link, but sounds like you found it. Idaho always seems to have good stuff - probably due to a host of social and geopolital reasons. It’s also just far enough that I’d reallllllyyyyyyyyy need something bad to drive there but it’s...

On the hunt for an electric percolator

Eddie - I add more coffee than that ( heavy handed here 😂), and it’s on the strongest setting, but it just doesn’t perc long enough to truely extract all the flavor. I’m almost wondering if I could take off the bottom and make any adjustments to lengthen the perc time. I love that it’s...
