Cleaned Miele Washer W1903 drain filter, now it leaks!

After the rinse/rinse hold light started flashing I turned the dial to spin(from cottons 60), it did not spin, so I turned the dial to drain, it did drain no problem and the little light went to "END". I did try 600 and 900 speed setting and the light kept flashing so I gave up. I have the...

Cleaned Miele Washer W1903 drain filter, now it leaks!

Thanks mrx, Believe me when I say I tried to make sure it was clean. I vacuumed it with a shop vac, I cleaned the threads on the cabinet and on the cap with a toothbrush, then dried both with clean towels. I made sure that I did not cross thread the cap by turning counter clockwise til it...

I just talked to Miele tech support and they are sending a new drain cap, if that does not fix the problem, I will break down and shell out $160. for a service call. Thanks for all the helpful suggestions.

Cleaned Miele Washer W1903 drain filter, now it leaks!

Mine looks different. It does not have the cap . It did work properly before the clog.I did remove it from the door bracket to take the picture. The sediment you see under the right hand corner of the machine is what clogged the tube and hoses.

Cleaned Miele Washer W1903 drain filter, now it leaks!

Foraloysius,Oh no! I never saw a little ball come out of the spigot when I flushed it out, it would have shown up in the sink, it could not pass by my sink drain. And to answer mrb627, I cannot run water through the machine without the cap/filter installed since it is one piece.I am now focusing...

Cleaned Miele Washer W1903 drain filter, now it leaks!

The hose itself is not leaking due to a material breakdown or damage of the rubber. It is just leaking out the spigot! If I put a cork in the end of the spigot it would probably stop, but it was OK prior to the clog problem. I did something during the cleaning process and cannot get it to stop...

Cleaned Miele Washer W1903 drain filter, now it leaks!

On the Miele W1903, one turns the cap on the Drain Pump Housing and that allows the water to come out the tube, once all the water is out, one removes the cap.It was Miele who instructed me to take the tube off and clean out. It came off and went back on no problem. It is a black rubber tube...

Cleaned Miele Washer W1903 drain filter, now it leaks!

I removed the hose tube for manually draining the machine, cleaned it and put it back on, it was totally clogged. That is where the machine is leaking, I guess I would say it is leaking out of the spigot. I also cleaned a port on the right side, inside the drain pump housing that was clogged...

I do not see a washer, please tell me where I would look for it.Originally I had to take off the drain tube to clean because it was caked up, when I rinsed it out, I did not see a washer come out, just flakey sand sediment.

Still trying to get my newly purchased 2nd hand washer running. Have called Miele Tech support, they said to make sure threads on cabinet and filter are clean, they are clean as can be. Miele W1903 drum will not budge

Thanks, I already have the belt off. Still will not budge. However, as I wait for the local repairman to get back to me I have thought about trying to lubricate the nut in the back hoping it might help free up the drum. Do you think WD40 would help? After letting it soak, I can try to get it to...

Miele W1903 drum will not budge

I agree about getting a service call. I was just trying to avoid a $160.00 charge for a 30 min. visit, especially if they are going to tell me it's the bearings. I already decided it's not worth fixing at $1000.plus. I guess I was hoping someone would be able to tell me a quick fix or...

Miele W1903 drum will not budge

Trying all suggestions Today I tried to look behind the drum pulley for signs of rust or water stains. Again, I used a flashlight and hand mirror and could not see any evidence of rust or water. I also tried to move the drum using a little force but could not move it. Please explain how I can...

Miele W1903 drum will not budge

I did not use the shipping struts. The seller did not have them and the washer and dryer had to go that day, no time order the struts. I was aware that the move had to be smooth. We did support the drum with foam blocks. The machine was gently picked up by 2 strong guys, it remained level and...
