I have a 1-18 dryer that is heating up but gets really hot then shuts off before clothes are dry. Is that an issue with the thermostat? Heating element and the fuse in the lower front panel have both been replaced.

Frigidaire one to 18 dryer stopping early
Hi Greg, there’s only two things that will automatically shut this dryer off after you start it if the timer is not moving to the off position, then the motor is overheating and it’s thermal overload is opening the circuit and stopping the dryer.
Check the motor for heavy lint accumulation, which will insulate it and cause it to shut down. Also make sure your exhaust system is clear and allowing a full flow of air. Poor airflow will cause the motor to overheat and shut the dryer down in many cases.

New issue- Belt?
Now this 1-18 dryer is turning on and heating up but drum is not turning. It can be easy turned by hand though. Is this a broken belt? How difficult is that to replace? where do you get new belts?
