I came across this on C-Net of all places.

 

Interesting, but I'm not sure how practical.  I might try a few of these on a non-stick waffle iron, but not on my Sunbeam - too hard to clean if it gets messed up, and I just got it seasoned nicely.

On an episode of "Good Eats" . . .

. . . Alton Brown demonstrated cooking bacon in a waffle iron but had nothing to say about cleaning up the mess.

Not even gonna try it.

I've done cinnamon rolls in my CG1. You have to be careful because it's really easy to overcook them.

As long the plates are well seasoned, it should be good. However, I will say since the waffle plates come out, clean up a breeze.
