Jason, I can't tell from the picture but if the wood is looking aged and worn, or scratched get a bottle of scratch cover liquid from a hardware store. It's amazing stuff for old wood. The name I buy is "Trade Secret", just put some on an old rag and lightly wipe the wood. It's an oil with a stain in it so any imperfections just disappear.
 
The wood under the face looks like it's peeling. I really don't want to do anything that would mess it up. How do you fix the face so it's white again? It's all yellow from nicotine (good reason to quit smoking eh?)
