They must have had holiday sales promotions during the late 30s time period. I have a tag off of a 1940 GE that says "Christmas 1940"
This is just like the first fridge that my parents had. When they built the new house in 1950 it went to the garage storage room and they bought all new Frigidaire for the kitchen. The GE ran in that storage room from then on until they sold that home and moved to town in 1994. They left it with the house. I guess still running to this day.
