There are several versions....I have the "Baby Bendix" from about 1947 I believe....Found it on ebay!

There was one in louisville a few threads back,

and a few others if memory serves. Here is the old data but it has been a few months.

Antigue Bendix Washer, circa 1950's made by Philco in excellent condition, would be great display item and conversation piece. Call 502-452-9745

Seems like there was one in Phoenix too.

Damm those machines are hot!!!! I saw this 1940's model at an open house. After they sold the house, I inquired about it and they JUST thrown it out to the dump (they complained how heavy it was...needing couple of big burly bear men to help...)

Oh well, I am keeping my fingers cross!

Does anyone know what the RPM on the Bendix? Have anyone used a Tackometer on it?

Bob, it was 300 & something rpms for the earliest ones I do believe.

I had some pre-war literature I ended up sending to Greg, and I remember reading that the first models spun at 311 RPM.
