Great units...

I think that for the time the freezer sizes were substantial. They didn't have the frozen dinners, big prepared foods, large boxes of frozen waffles, etc. that they do now.

I think the first frozen items were those small boxes of frozen vegetables, people could freeze a few platters of meat, ice trays, and maybe a quart or two of ice cream.

Well, yes, that was decades before Costco, Sam's Club, BJ's. LOL. But some families did have a deep chest freezer down in the basement for mass quantities.
