1949 sunbeam model 9

picked up a wonderful model 9 sunbeam mixer complete with all the bowls including juicer but no beaters or reamer i have both in storage never hurts to buy extras i looks new only problem the motor was locked up after a little working and some oil she purrs like a kitten

Congrats! Which Sunbeam logo does it have? The 'badge' style or the word 'Sunbeam' by itself in red?

Yes, they were the last run of the model 9's (1948 to 1949). The red Sunbeam logo was paving the way for the model 10 and 11 logos. I wish I knew more about the history of this model; the 9 looked just like the 7B but had the beater speed control button and the improved juicer like the model 10 would have. Could this have been due to materials shortages following the second World War?
