This past weekend I went to Long Beach to visit Kevin. While I was there another friend who just recently moved from North Hollywood to Tucson, had mentioned to me he left behind this Packard Bell TV combo. He left it at a storage place asking the owner of the place to find a good home for it. Anyways, since I was going that direction I asked my friend to call the storage to see if the TV was still there. Turns out it was. My friend told me I could have it. So I went and picked it up, and brought it home.

I'll bet you can get a picture on that CRT with a standard recap job.  It looks clean and low miles.  Do you have the knobs somewhere or were they already missing?

I like Packard Bell TVs

A very high quality product. So far I have had two sets, a 1960's b&w and a 1970 color set. I enjoyed using them but no longer have them. But I still have a couple of Packard Bell radios.
I worked with a former television engineer for Packard Bell. His training was so good I videotaped it and used it as a springboard for my work. That fella was very smart and I enjoyed learning from him.
Your unit looks terrific. I too agree that the unit may very well come back to life quite nicely.
