I think GE made more of that style range than any one range ever,,they built it for nearly 20 years and my hometown is full of them, a very good stove.
These look to be in fantastic shape. I contacted the seller for pics of the freezer, as there weren't any with the listing. I wish this were a frost free model, as this is the color I've been looking for and these look to be in great shape.
Nice. Both the range and the fridge have serial numbers with a second character of "S". That would appear to date them to 1959, according to this link:
Neat! I just filed that link away for future reference. Did GE use a different date code structure for the years: 1961-1964; these date codes don't appear on the GE link (it jumps from 1960 to 1965)?
The GE link does show codes for 1961-1964 at the bottom of the table. GE used two-letter "year codes" for the years 1961-1968. My 1966 range, for example, has a serial number starting with SBZ.
I have what I believe to be the 58 version of this fridge in turquoise. Except it has the revolving shelves. The compressor runs like expected but it doesnt cool. Must have a leak. Too bad.
