Bath tub also included. Ad states: "1950's stove with matching automatic dishwasher/sink. As well as vintage cast iron tub. We have the original manuals for both the stove and the dishwasher. They were removed from the old house we recently purchased when we re-did the kitchen.
price for everything is $750 or best offer.
I'm very negotiable, so make me an offer.

I can be reached at 609-two8four-39O5"

I did contact the seller and he said that he would sell the stove and dishwasher separately. He also sent pix of the inside of the dishwasher.

That range is more like 1948. Its a single oven model. I have one just like it I got for free that was for sale with a 1956 GE fridge. I had asked the seller if he'd sell the fridge separately. He said yes. When I got there he said take the stove too if you want it. I don't believe anyone is going to buy it and it will end up getting scrapped. So of course I had to bring it home with me.

I think Ken is very close. I'm almost certain this cabinet style (with equal width overlay type doors) was introduced for the '49 model year, and was used until prodution was moved to Louisville in '53, when the right oven was made wider than the left. I'm thinking pushbutton controls also became available on the 49's, as '48 and earlier were knobs.

Thanks for the info. The serial number on these older GE's don't correspond with the date code system of two letters designating month and year. Maybe that code system was started when production was moved to Louisville?

Here's a pic of the data plate from another which is very close to the one above from this recent thread from Sarah. You can see what I mean about the serial number not having the two letter code for month & year.

Although GE says the year letter is included in the serial number, it may be that the second part of the MODEL number (the F2), may indicate the year. Their website does give F as the code for 1949. I have a GE range service manual that would probably give this info, but it's packed up at storage.

Could be. I'll have to take a look at mine this weekend and what letter is in the model number.

Thanks for all the info. This is my favorite style of GE stove, but would prefer to have one that has the automatic grille. If the appliances were turquoise, I would already be on my way to pick these up! Both stove and dishwasher look to be in good shape for their age.
