Well if I had known this auction was going to create such a furore would have left everyone to their own devices! *LOL
Cannot belive bidding went from $10 several hours ago up to the current amount. Hate to see members bidding against each other, can't you boys play nice? *LOLx2*
See the seller has revised his auction several times with answers to queries and other information. Must be he is getting lots of emails.

I have bid on the pair but I have a feeling that the price will go sky high. Still a week left for bidding. I have emailed the seller to see if Roger and I can drive up to Phoenix to look at the machines. Whether I win or not, at least they will get a new home and not go to the crusher.

Perhaps next time 
I'd gladly ditch the "spin, damn you" Kenmore-of-Hell and go for these, even though I need a dryer like a hole in the head right now. Serious kudos to Ross for attempting to go for these guys (see what happens when you wander off to Pennsylvania?!?).
But it looks like the price is going from manageable to "gotta have it," so...
Good luck to whomever gets those! They look extremely cool and rather like the "Program Computer" POD that floats around.

I fondly remember Green Stamps, Red Stamps, and even Blue Stamps from when I was a little kid in the 60s.
Back in the days when "saving up for something" was the norm, and people weren't in debt up to their eyeballs. It was always fun to save up for something; when you got it, it was more of a special occasion. Instant gratification makes everything seem bland. In fact, that may have something to do with the "bland trend" in modern appliances...?
