Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Mending fluid is not the same as SW, but yes it is still around. SW is more like a mending tape since one applies heat to join two pieces of fabric together. Fray Check is used only on edges of fabric to prevent fraying and unraveling.

Most mending these days (if done at all), is used with mending tape or pre-cut patches which can be affixed with heat. Moi? Prefer to do things the old fashioned way and darn small holes/tears. In fact have quite a nice supply of darning cotton in various colours.

Launderess,

Hmmm. I have seen tips in magazines for using Fray Check for many other uses, it is really just glue after all. I have another product around here, some sort of fabric glue that lists mending as a possible use - thought it was SW, but then again, I have too many things around here!
