Welcome to the site, Scott!  It's good to see more Canadians posting!

If you can post a photo of your refrigerator door and handle, and the model number, that would be a great help in identifying what you are looking for.  We've got some serious Canadian Frigidaire collectors on the site who may be able to help (** cough ** paging PhilR....)

I've only got a couple of Canadian Frigidaire refrigerators myself - both 1960s models.

Goatfarmer, that is a 1955 model.

I have a 1954 and a 1955 Frigidaire. I found an NOS 1955 handle on ebay a few years back but it is not the same as a 1954 handle.

Our4boys - I'll have to dig through my parts but I think I might have a correct 1954 handle - I have several spare 1954 parts that I acquired for my fridge, but apparently they made two sizes of the Imperial Cycla-Matic and the interior parts I have are too big. The handles are the same however. In the mean time, post a picture so I can verify the year model.

I too have a 1954 cycla-matic. I bought extra parts a few years back, and they were too small! What were you needing? I have looked for the server tray, that is missing on mine, to no avail. Anyway, I too would be willing to part with the handle, if you do t have one. If you do have an extra handle, than i guess I will continue to look for parts for mine.

Marty,

Thanks for the reply. My Imperial Cycla-Matic is missing most of the door parts (egg holders, shelves) plus the Utility Tray (the bin that hangs under the freezer), and the veggie drawers. The parts I obtained are too big for my fridge: the shelves are 26" wide, the shelves in my fridge are 23" wide. I have the serving tray for the larger fridge, some shelves, the egg holders, the Utility Tray, and a few other parts including one veggie drawer.

Let me know what size your fridge is, if it is the bigger model i would be open to a swap or even purchasing a few things for my fridge.[this post was last edited: 6/27/2015-14:07]

I also have a 1955 Imperial Cycla-Matic that's missing a few parts. The butter door, the egg storage and the two large door shelves as well as the meat tender and shelf above it.

It's a Canadian CIV-103 and it's similar to the US CDV-103.

I also replaced the door handle on mine and I have a slightly different one remaining.

Do you have pictures of your 1954?

Here are pictures of my 1955.

Wish I could help. My '55 is not an Imperial but it is complete. The only extra part i have for it is the NOS door handle which i have not installed yet. I posted a thread on the restoration of this fridge a few years ago, don't have time to search for the link right now.

Marty, Thanks a bunch. I'll look for your post, or you can e-mail me - address in my profile.

1955 Frigidaire Imperial Handle

Hello all,
I just inherited my grandparents 1955 Frigidaire Imperial Cyclamatic that they used in their kitchen until last month when my grandpa passed. I don't think the fridge was ever unplugged. I inherited the fridge which was in mint condition. The exterior is perfect and I have all the internal parts. I love the egg roller. Sadly, I cracked the handle when moving it next door to my house. I tried to remove the cracked handle, but couldn't turn the long rod/screw that holds it in place. I tried to weld a little zinc into the crack, but made matters worse and burned my thumb in the process.I know this question has been asked before, but I am now searching for a new handle and would greatly appreciate any help or advice.

Thanks in advance
Gary

How I wish I could find a couple of these—a right and a left, to make a mock side-by-side.  Of course, I’d want them in either Sherwood Green or Stratford Yellow.  And preferably the CTI-130.  There’s a reason I’m still waiting!!

One thing I know I’ll never see are the amazing commercial models from the same time, the RIT line of reach-in refrigerators.  I’d buy one of the 27-cubit-foot models in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the info 58limited. Do you know if the long rod that attaches the handle to the plate is in fact a long screw? I could not turn it to remove the handle.

Thanks
Gary
