new addition to the family; as much as I love my '62 GE stove which is in mint condition, I found this beauty and picked her up over the weekend. She needed a mild detail cleaning and I had to replace three of the four burners which there were four brand new replacement burners in their respective boxes in the oven which has NEVER, yes the oven has NEVER been used and is mint. The clock and timer do not work, but I may or may not fix those at some point. Its nice to have the room for a 39" stove and this space in my kitchen really calls for one. Hope you enjoy the photos.

hi dan

thanks, the centers on the knobs are not copper but brass, or brass plated, they are "worn". The burners are "color-coded" but because I have replaced three of the four burners and the "colors" next to the push buttons have worn off. I guess you could say that the colors are "non-prevalent".

burner trouble ?

well thanks for the compliments, I am a bit baffled, the right rear burner both the old one and the replacement work but NOT on "hi". Only the inner part of the burner works so it gloes red on "2" which is the next setting down from hi. I tried to swap the wires red wires so then the outer portion of the burner works but not the inner portion. I think I have a bad wire or possibly a bad switch. No big deal in the "big picture" of things. But if anyone has any hints/knowlege/suggestions, I will certainly take them under advisement and/or consideration.

Greg that is one beautiful stove!! Is it a double oven or is the other side a storage drawer? That was one great find!! Terry

John

thats what I thought too, I have tried to different burners so I guess I will just have to keep an eye out for a new "pushbutton" switch on ebay right ? Those parts are probably "long-gone" .......

Terry

thanks, just a single oven on the right, three total drawers for storage........
