More info...

The flourescent light is a Sylvania bulb, I believe it is original, It needs a light switch, which ill have to figure out because it has 4 wires instead of 2, the small oven bakes perfectly and I plan to test the big one this weekend, the only thing I am not thrilled with is the so called Meal-Sentry thermostatic unit,I had a Hotpoint with this and I changed it to a regular infinite heat switch, which is what ill probably do with this,as with most of them it either burn up everything or dont cook at all, but that is easily fixed, the ovens have a regular calrod type element for the bottom and a open coil broiler, also like older Westinghouses, the upper unit has a smaller coil that runs around the outside edge of the broiler assembly and heats with the lower unit to provide balanced heat, also the left front unit is a speed heat which works great, I had forgotten just how good these worked.

"It's everyone's responsibility to help save this stuff. It's the motherlode and at some point in the not too distant future it's going to be depleted.

For every item like this that's saved, how many might we be losing?"

Beautifully stated, Ralph. One day in the very near future, these treasures WILL be gone forever.

Congrats on stove, Hans! It's a gorgeous timepiece made during the best years of this country and will last a lifetime.
