It did boast fully automatic controls , This model was made until the mid 60's when Troy Laundry Machinery Became Ametek and in 69 finally closed. The Troy machines were the first to use a variable water level control and also the first to offer a bladder style drain. which filled with water to close the drain.Was dubbed to be the most realiable. There are also some of these machines still in operation today in older plants. I do know of 1 here in our city. and at least 2 plants in Dallas that still use them.
