Hello all,
A friend of mine just bought a 1956 Frigidaire refrigerator, not sure the model at the moment, but she is looking to purchase the panel, (not sure of the correct term) just below the freezer section, as it has a large chunk missing. Otherwise in perfect working order.
Thank you!

Freezer drip tray...

Those sort of cosmetic parts can be hard to find. That particular part is easily broken by the door closing against the tray, while it is extended.

It may be an option to use body filler or some other plastic filler to repair that one. It will not look exactly like it did before the damage; but it will still serve its purpose.

If I see anything like that, I'll try to share it here.

moparguy it is approximately 19.5 inches & 12.25 inches wide, per my friend.

turbokinetic, thanks for the suggestion. What product brand would you recommenced?

Also would these have come in different accent colors besides pink? One of any color could be painted to match, I would think.

Fridge size

That must be the narrower fridge than the one that I had. I think your friends fridge probably looks like this one on facebook.

Size/Part

I checked my parts fridge, unfortunately it has a very different design of tray. Your friends fridge must be more like the one in the attachment in my earlier post. Sorry that I couldn't help out.

It might be easiest to use adhesive to secure a section of facsia to the front of the tray that will look compatible.  Since the tray front is already broken, you don't have much to lose.  There are resources at home improvement stores, on scrap piles or maybe even around the house that could provide a metal or plastic piece that could be cut to fit.  Nobody will know the difference except you and your friend.

Also, if the rear portion of the tray has a flap that can be positioned flat or upward, I suggest keeping it flat.  On my '52 Kelivnator, the cabinet temperature was way too cold with the rear portion of the tray adjusted to allow cold air from the freezer to fall into the fresh food section.
