Jon!

What an exquisite and perfect restoration. I love how you went to the trouble to scrub clean the outer water container, repaint the cabinet inside and out, and polish up all the chrome. These are steps that some people skip.

I also love your video editing. What program is that you're using?

Bravo!!! You win the trophy.

Patrick

amazing talents

Wow, can not even imagine the work it took to do that, those pictures are amazing, thanks for sharing. Love it! Video was great too.

Hi Mike

no this was the Beam machine system a very good one too, shared by Easy, early Speed Queen and a few other brands. It's a very cool mechanism, the large silver disk is a fluid drive coupling just like on your automatic car torque converter. The 3 legs out to the ring are the stabilizers/dampers. Once you get the outer tub off the whole mechanism just lifts out for service.

All the switching is done by solenoids YAY! Love Solenoid Robots!

The Fluid drive produces smooth accelerations and quiet operation as you can see in the vid, and it was also used on the "doodle-bug" scooters during the war when gas was nonexistent.

It has hot wash and warm wash ( which is really hot too!) and warm rinse and hot spin spray!! With the lid open it steams up the other machines.

easy

The mother of a childhood friend in Woburn had that very machine and was very nice about letting me watch it run. This was around 1967.Thirty years later I saw that machine in front of the house out on the sidewalk where they used to live still looking pretty good, funny if this is the same one.

Jetcone  that is a well done job on both the restoration and the video..  I wonder what year the fill flume moved to the 7 or 8-o-clock position.  I know from my mom's "mat" experiences that the "front fill design" would often give people a surprise if you pushed the coins in with the lid up.   Very well done,, Thanks for the pictures and the very well done vid.  arthur

Outer tub gasket

Jetcone hi. On the third picture you show one kind of outer tub gasket, and on the 4th picture ir was replaced with a very different one, could you please tell me where I can get one of the second type. I have a Mexican Easy Golden Line washer, which uses de first kind of gasket, and it´s starting to leak, but since it´s a very old washer, it´s really difficult finding parts. Another thing I would like to know, what kind of paint should I use for the outer tub since mine has started to rot on several parts, so I would like to paint it with some sort of epoxy water proof paint, or what do you suggest???
