1957 Lawn-Boy Automower on ebay

Looks to be in original condition. I understand there are lawn mower collections out there, just like automatic washing machine collections. From what I have learned, the Lawn-Boy is the "Frigidaire" of lawn mowers. Very collectable.
Lets watch and see.

The first mower

that my dad had I can remember had offset front wheels, and also a large, hard fiberglass grass catcher. I have never seen a mower with a fiberglass catcher, but he had it. I think it was hinged so you could empty it easily.

Wonder if it was a Lawn Boy.

Rick - or anyone, do you have any pictures you can post of some of the models? Brochures, catalog pages, etc.? I see old lawn mowers all the time at estate sales but wouldn't know a 50's model from an 80's model.

I remember....

Having that Lawnboy mower growing up.....in those very colors.

Was the 'Cadillac' of lawnmowers back then.

If I am not mistaken, you had to mix gasoline and oil for it to run properly.
