1959 Thermador Double Wall Oven

HELP PLEASE

I got this Thermador double electric oven from CA to AZ. I emailed Thermador for information but they will only say it's "too old" to provide any parts info or manuals. For what I thought was such a SUPERIOR brand I am very disappointed. Anyone know what this model is? I'd love to find a manual. The house it came from was built in 1959 so guessing the year is either 1958 or 1959.

I guess my first question witch probably sounds silly, would be is the bottom a full regular oven versus like just a broiler?

Since it's electric, each cavity is a full-fledge oven.

Suzy, the Automatic Ephemera library has some brochures on Thermador products that can be downloaded for a small fee.  I've linked to a brochure for 1960 that has eight pages on built-in cooking appliances.  It contains information for a double oven that looks a lot like yours, although neither oven has a window, which was likely optional.  Maybe some of the information will be useful to you.

 

Unfortunately, there are no owners manuals available at this time, but new material is added to the library as it is found, so the library is worth checking once in a while.

I lived in a house that had that very double oven for 12 years. Both ovens were excellent. I had the owner's manual at one time, and I may still have it. I am not at home right now, but will be back May 20.
