1965 Frigidaire "Jet Action" Washer - 16mm Film

This week, no 20 minute documentary or assembly line footage, instead, it’s short and sweet (and most of all, entertaining). This 60 second TV spot for the new 1965 Frigidaire “Jet Action” washer line comes to us by way of Swestoyz. And my offer still stands, if anyone has a 16mm film they’d like scanned and cleaned up, just shoot me a message.

That commercial was beyond fabulous and it is the first time I've ever seen it! I only know of two other Frigidaire washer commercials that have been found, one from 1950 and the other from 1957. I hope more show up in time.

That was fun to see! They were a little off when they showed the refrigerator and washer that were supposed to be 1937, as that refrigerator looks just like the 1947 Frigidaire I have. And of course, they weren't making an automatic washer that early. Would have been even better had they filmed it in Technicolor, to show off their color selection.
