1967 Lady Kenmore Combo
Congratulations Melvin on your new combo.
The broken part is just the bakealight housing where the vent duct attaches, these used to get broken from time to time, we have some extras around or I could take on off this old brown combo we have laying around.

1965 or 1967? Either way, fascinating machine! Looks like modes were done through solenoids.

The model was first introduced in 1965 so it is a 1965 model but this one was built in 1967. Sears had a lot of models that were built for more than one year. The last new Kenmore belt drive models I believe were introduced in 1983 but were built through the end of production in 1986 for example.

Serial indicates manufacture Oct 2005 (XS4306965).
The engineering-change number 15 is the highest I've seen.

I would like to make some videos of all of the washers and dryers I have but I stay pretty busy with work and I’m not that tech savvy. I’m going to learn one of these days cause there’s no sense in having all of these machines if I can’t share them with others who like them as well.

Thanks. Supposedly it’s been in use for the last 7 years so hopefully it just needs a little TLC to return it to operation.

I used to have that same machine but lost it in the purge of 86 a dark period in my history. If I am correct that seems to be missing the blower solenoid.

Hi Mark. There needs to be a great purge of 2020 around here. Unfortunately when you collect this has to occur from time to time. I’m past due for one.
