Cool little gadget that works nicely to steam and cook vegetables, keeps breads moist and hot. Simple design that has lasted for fifty plus years.

Several years ago I would use this daily when my former partner worked at various times. It reheated foods with steam and unlike what a microwave does at times, it would not toughen or change the texture of the reheated food

The small pans that came with it look almost like Easy Bake or a kids play set.

Ron, I'll buy the one the one in the box.....

if you decide to get rid of that one. I already have one that I use as a daily driver, but this is so handy to have that I would love to have another for a spare. I have also seen this cooker with the Universal name on it on ebay but did not have the money to buy it. The Universal version had a white lid and did not have the signal light. It was made after the GE housewares division bought Landers, Frary & Clark in 1965. PATRICK COFFEY

Appliguy, I agree regarding this cooker being handy. Even for simple things such as reheating dinner rolls or other breads, just place a small amount of water in the base and the item is heated perfectly.

I also really like the way the cooker leaves looks...
