I have one of these also, it is very cute, but two pairs of mens heavy socks is a full load.

Again such dryers were intended for ladies to dry their danties such as nylons or knickers. This was in an era when nice girls were supposed to hand wash such things after being worn. This usually resulted in bathrooms a dripping mess at night from all that handwash hung to dry, or worse in the case of crowded/multiperson living (dorm, room-mates, etc) stuff hanging in the bedroom or elsewhere to avoid mixing things up.

I would imagine,
this is a very impractical machine. I could only imagine the insanely long dry times and wrinkling if you dried more than 1 shirt at a time. Not to mention that the back of the load would be scorched before the front was even hot. Although it might work well for Ken to dry Barbie's clothes after he cleans them in a toy washer. LOL!

Runco Has A Simiar Version
Called the "Tidie-Dryer"
But it was a canister type that opened and shut from the top. You could also use it as a bonnet type hair dryer.
