I was thinking an oven rack would have to be used as a broiler rack, and that the broiler pan would need to be placed on an additional rack under that. Eddie's use of foil would certainly be a time saver for broiler/oven rack cleaning.
How strong are the stirrers? They would be quite useful if they could handle a pot of risotto.
