So I searched all around here and I can't find it. My 1965 DE606 I inherited from my grandmother started making a noise. Tried belts, still noise. So i pulled the cabinet, ordered some fiber washer. Ordered a new felt. (It didn't have felt when I replaced the halo of heat 20+ years ago. Didnt know that was a thing.)
Anyway, I got the big v belt pulley off and expected to find a snap ring there somewhere to get the shaft loose, but so such luck. There is just the small pulley turning the impeller I guess? What am I missing? How do I get the shaft loose to pull the drum to oil everything? There is a snap ring there somewhere? I cant find a diagram with everything in place....
And while I am at it, the tensioner pulley on the bottom right, seem ok when it up and left like with the belt on, but without the belt as it sit on the bottom of the cabinet, it has a lot of play and slop. Is that normal?
I have to get the old girl up and running before the wife kills me....
Thanks!
