Hi: I can’t tell on this machine. Did the second rinse have a toggle switch or regular knob? Seem strange. I’m referring to the switch to the left of the main dial. Thanks in advance.

This was the initial model of the "center dial" Lady Kenmores that came out in Fall 1976. The 4 auxilliary knobs were soak only/soak to wash, water level, water temp, and 2nd rinse yes or no. 2nd rinse was only available lon Normal cycle.

Yes, but my question is

Was it a knob like all the others. Which seems missing or a toggle. I can’t tell on the photos I’m looking at.

there were 4 auxiliiary little knobs. The next generation of this LK combined the soak/soak to wash and 2nd rinse knobs into one. It was to the left of the water level knob. The model you are seeing here it was the 2nd rinse knob on/off.

Pic #2 shows Second Rinse is at the *right* of Water Level.  On position at the top and Off at the bottom are 180° apart which seems odd for a rotary switch.  There's no chrome knob ... and there appears to be no switch shaft which should reasonably be present if a rotary knob is missing, unless the shaft is broken off.

Photo lightened.

Floyde, the photos presumably are from a FB or other such sale offering.  Perhaps pics of better quality are available if a link to the sale is provided?

Second rinse switch on this machine is definitely a little toggle switch,

It looks like somebody taped over it and left it in the off position to save water, wise thing to do if you want to save energy and water

Over the years, I disconnected the second rent switch on hundreds of washing machines, with the approval of the owner, who was interested in saving water, especially when it was a rental property. It also saves a lot of wear and tear on the washing machine, not having to go through a second full rinse and spin operation.

I'm like Nick, I never saw an LK with a toggle switch like tis. But then again, I had moved into an apartment with laundry connections May/June 1978 and had purchased my Fflo set.
