1970s-1980s Range Hoods

Ted has some NIB (presumably mostly Whirlpool) range hoods (he said) from the 1970s and possibly into the early 1980s (his dad died in Jan 1986) that he saved from the store stock.  They've been stored in a barn loft.  He asked if I want them ... so I'm checking if anyone may have an interest in one or two or more of them.  I don't (yet) have specifics on quantity, models, or condition (which requires making them open-box).

I never realized there are so many variables but:

-model number
-manufacturer
-width
-vented, non-vented, convertible
-how many speeds or variable
-built in fan or remote fan
-color and finish accents
-how many lights
-dimensions

Did Whirlpool build their own range hoods, or were they made by another company, such as Nutone, Broan, or Miami-Carey?

Whirlpool range hoods in the 70s and 80s

Were generally made by a company, called Range air, they weren’t much, it was certainly the worst product whirlpool carried in all those years that we sold Whirlpool appliances directly.

Thanks for the info, John. My Aunt Eloise had a Rangeaire hood in their 1971 house.

My mother is running a mid-1970s Kenmore hood that was moved along from house #1 to house #2.  Leading 850 on the model indicates sourced from Whirlpool.  Dual squirrel-cage, fully variable speed, fluorescent lighting.
