Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

They are in storage patiently waiting restoration. The washer ran fine with a tub seal leak so it needs to be gone through.

I want to say it does have an out of balance switch but it’s been a couple of years since I looked at this one.

I'm guessing it doesn't have an OOB switch.

1) I don't see one on parts diagrams.

2) It typically mounts to the inside of the cabinet near the service panel in a position for the rear edge of the baseplate to bump the actuator lever.  There doesn't appear to be one in the photos (#3 rear view) above.

3) There's no mention of it on the feature sticker (#7 & #8).

Hope you can get them up and running soon.I really love the 1974 70.I never heard the sounds of an active self cleaning filter on a Kenmore before. Kind of like snorting gurgling snorkeling sounds.... Pretty cool to listen to actually. You don't really hear it. If the water level is high but medium to small loads, you can really hear it.

I guess I should’ve looked at the above pictures before answering questions from memory. Lol This washer does not have an out of balance switch.

Yes, looking at the bottom, I can see that according to what parts there'd be for such, one isn't there...

At least if I could compare it to other Kenmores/Lady Kenmores that do...

Surprised there's no fabric softener dispenser and I thought with this being a large capacity, there'd be an Extra Large in the water level selection, but at least has a bleach dispenser and all five wash/rinse temperature combinations...

Once again, Melvin, a great save!
