Hi everyone, long time viewer but just signed up since I purchased my first vintage appliance tonight. It’s a 1977 Inglis Citation 2 Speed Portable washer. In excellent physical condition, one owner, bought brand in 1977 while pregnant with her daughter. Anyways - got the machine home, plugged it in, all was well until a touch of burning plastic and smoke - turned the machine off, unplugged and left it for a bit. Came back and noticed that it no longer agitates but the motor kicks on and sometimes the belt will catch and it will agitate - new belt, no big deal. My question is, I’ll need to know what size/serial number of belt I need in order to get this little beauty back up to operating condition! Otherwise it had no issues - no leaks, motor strong, everything perfect until the belt gave way. I’ll attach photos of the machine and the build tag. Thanks in advance and I’m so excited to be here! This little Inglis is the apartment version of my great grandmas Inglis which she bought new in 76 when they built their house, so I definitely want to put any work necessary into it!
