Calling LoraineFurniture! You sir are a saint! I just finished watching the restoration video of the Kenmore, it was amazing. And even more amazing, that that machine lasted 40 years before someone traded it in. I really hope that you will be able to keep that machine for your collection, it is truly beautiful. I look forward to the test videos, the surgilator is my favorite agitator of all time. By chance, what brand is that older motor that you installed? Was just curious.

motor

the round motor they installed is a GE-I have seen round GEs in BDs as recent as 1976.The Emerson motor they replaced are generally very good motors.GE motors could be found in WP machines up through about 1978,then all Emerson after that.
