My parents have an 80s Hotpoint 30" Electric Self Clean range. It's light almond and black with a black glass door. I think it's a pretty nice stove, funny to think they were going to replace it with a modern smooth top a while ago. I was wondering if it's a good stove.
Interestingly, I decoded the serial # and came up with a 1985 date. There was a matching color GE hood over it with a date of 1987. The house also came with a smallish Hotpoint top freezer fridge with recessed side handles, looked like the Americana ones at Home Depot. Also there was a GE washer, I don't recall it having the filter flo tray, but maybe it did. The tub rusted out on it and the fridge was replaced as it was too small for my parents.
Anyway, any thoughts on 80s and 90s GE or Hotpoint ranges and quality?
