What was done to them?

I put a new motor coupler. Scrubbed them really good. Replaced the tub. The outer and inner tub. were so gross and nasty.

Did you keep the old inner tub ? I like that pattern better than the last one

No it had a lot of chips and pretty banged up
Nice cleanup job, it’s amazing what people do to a washing machine I took a 25 year-old pair of Kenmore direct drives out of a house two years ago and installed a new Speed Queen pair for this couple And there wasn’t one speck of dirt on the outer tub on the tub cover or even under the tub cover from the machines we removed, if you know how to do laundry, there’s no reason for this and I know the couple that had the machines and he liked to use hot water and some bleach and good tide detergent Machine was absolutely like new. We Replaced the drive coupling and sold it. It’s still going strong at another home.
