Well, I guess I'm not the only one with a collection of 45's like that. I have been re alphabetizing and filing what I have too. Haven't quite gotten as far as this collection, but I bet I have just as many.
Wow, that is an amazing collection. Could you imagine being the executor of this person's estate? The singles alone would be a very challenging project to handle. Even if you coughed up the $60,000 asking price, shipping or transporting it would cost another fortune.
Come to think of it-an oldies AM station in Baltimore had a similar collection-LPs and RR tapes,too.The station converted over to newstalk-the music collection just languished in their generator room.Looked thru it while repairing thier large ONAN genset.The station moved to another building-don't know what happened to that music collection.Hope someone got it-be sad to see those recordings go to the dumpster!
Yeah, I think about the only real use for my 45's today are jukeboxes. Thank goodness I have my collection of those too! They seem a little more mainstream than washers and dryers, but still obsolete by today's standards….
