I have a circa 2005 Gas Hotpoint oven and range top that I got with the house. (RGB745WEH8WW) Twice a year I self-clean the oven, and up to now there's been no problem.

Day before yesterday, I started the self clean cycle which it performed correctly, however, later in the day, when I went to pre-heat the oven for meatloaf the "clean" oven light came on and blinked.

I've fooled with the oven latch bar, the temperature settings, the timer settings, and unplugged the oven for about a minute and the problem persists. I've let the "clean" light blink for 10 minutes and the heat never came on.

Is this the computer? Is it worth getting a tech in to look at it?

Thanks

Thanks for the Input John.

I've tried starting the self clean cycle a few times now and the oven will not return to normal cooking mode.

I really don't want a new oven/range so I suppose the next stop is to call a tech.
