Heck, I do not really know anyone

Actually, walking in you would probably feel a great connection with personalties you have come to know via the postings. I sure did.I myself went to my first gathering, (being the convention in Omaha, Nebraska.) just a few months after beginning to terrorize this site. The welcome was warm and loving. Everyone was kind and fun. I am sure I have made many friends for life and have networked galore.

Sadly with so many pewople there and so many screen names and actual names, it was hard for me to keep track of all the wonderful people, I met. Some are to me are just a memory of a smile, or a word of advice, or a good joke or a laugh. So I apologize to all of those with whom I have not kept in touch. Want to, but memory is a sieve. [Hey the phone and the internet work both ways! contact ME!]

Anyhoo. Have no fears my dears. We are all in the same boat and have the same worries and fears and apprehensions. And If I may say so myselff 99% of the time these negative things are needless. Therefore the worries each of us carries cancel each-other out and I beleve we can go forth fearlessly!

I strongly suggest all who have even the slightest interest attend. These events are not to be missed.

Regards,
Steve

No Worries Ritchie!!

I had only been a member for about four months when I made the trek to Omaha! What a blast! Upon arriving at the hotel, the first thing I did was terrorize Toggleswitch with a scary message slipped under his door. We also made the trip to Tucson last year and had a marvelous time!

I promise...you will NEVER meet a stranger at one of these gatherings! There is always something to talk about (starting with major appliances) and everyone treats each other like family (which we are)! C'mon!!! I guarantee you will have a terrific time!!

Greetings From Tucosn, we are a great group....Roger, Nate, and myself....last year's wash in was a great success and everyone had a great time. People met new people. Roger, Nate, and I have a great collection of machines...

EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!!!

Dahlings!

Fab-o!! Thank you so much, Launderess :-D

Robert, it'd be awesome if you'd come! We'd be honored. I know you're busy, but it'd be fantastic to get to meet you.

Ritchie, it's a lot of fun with an easygoing group of people, where you get to play around with appliances endlessly and meet a lot of people who are just great to talk to and spend the days with. I promise, it'll be fun!

It was SO great to get to meet everyone who came last time. Everyone was so nice, so interesting, and everyone had a great story to tell! I could down gallons of coffee just sitting and chatting, never mind the machines!

Chad, the weather should be nice, so I say put together the Tucson Package--short-sleeves, shorts, sneakers, and a jacket :-D LOL It covers all conditions!

I think that it is doable. I will be there.

I just came into some money that could take me down there.I could fly there in a couple of hours. It would be nice to be around someone that would love to talk to me about my Mieles and other things that I think are fun. When should I make reservations for a room? Are there people that want to get a room and share the expence? I usually get a rental car if there is a need. How much is it to sign up for the wash- in?

If it's from a washer, it's called grey water... bro

Couple problems using laundry water for irrigation...

Mainly the high sodium levels in most detergents (sodium sulfate, sodium carbonate, sodium silicate, sodium perborate) is not good for plants. Secondly, the perborate might raise the boron levels in the soil to toxic levels for boron-sensitive plants.

A septic system avoids the issue by distributing the "cleaned" effluent over a wide area, and rain is expected to leach out excess sodium. But all that's usually allowed over a leach field is grass, and there are some very salt tolerant grasses.
