I had a 1999
Whirlpool Gold, with the old large motor and pump module.
It seemed a bit louder as it approached 11 years old. That's about the time the control board became stuck on normal cycle.
Can't really complain for $400. Spent double that in 2011 in addition to an entire new kitchen.
