Just picked up a GE HiFi-phono,amfm,12"woofer,about 5w amp-pretty decent condition,person i got it from said they tried it and it started smoking-do not know if this has across the line noise capacitor that might have been cooking off 
early 1950 date codes noticed.
2nd-admiral TV,pretty brown bakelite cabinet,all intact,early 1950 date codes.A neat early TV.
3rd-Philco HiFi phono-bad motor mounts,amp not working-a burnt in two large resistor noticed along with several "bumblebee"capacitors.Fairly big amp for what it is,perhaps 6-8w, and powered by two selenium rectifiers.Late 1954 date codes,might try to get this one working
