Hi Guys,

Recently picked up a 33019L Hoovermatic, however someone has decided to take out the timer and wired it so that the pulsator comes on when you turn the thermostate control to "Motor" I had a timer and have decided to put it in however not too sure about the wiring..does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 33019L ????
Any help much appreciated.
Regards
Keith

Without having a wiring diagram

Keith

I presume that the time is mechanically driven (I have some recollection that it is driven by the pulsator motor) so surely its just a matter of taking the wire off its existing terminal and putting it on the timer, with a new wire running from the now vacant position from the thermostat to the "other side" of the timer

Congratulations on gettin a 3309, look forward to seeing pictures

Al

Hi Al,
Thanks for your message, unfortunately the 3309L didnt have any wiring to the timer, so i have taken the old motor out complete with part of the drive on the end and put a complete timer and motor in from a 3301L i had a few years ago, however off the timer box there are 3 connectors, one to the wash motor, but i am not sure where the other two wires go to..
Pics to follow soon !!

Hmm...

I had a 3314L which has the same timer so I'll have a stab at remembering what goes where.

A short pink wire goes from stat to timer to carry power.
A long red wire from motor to timer and connects to one of either of the two connectors side by side. I don't know why one is occupied and one is free but that's the way they all are and the wiring diagram shows so too.

So there you go no need to be puzzled! Two wires, three connectors.

Enjoy your machine. I wish I found a decent 3314L.

Hi James,

Thanks for the information, I will have a play aropund the weekend..I was only confused because the timer i took out of a 3301L had 3 wires coming off of it, 2 that went to the thermostat and 1 that goes to the wash motor, however whent he 3309L come along the wiring configuration must have changed to 2 wires, 1 to the thermostat and 1 to the wash motor.
I will post an update.
Cheers
Keith
