I agree I looked at some of those welded steel appliance dollies they sell at Lowes and HD. They are very heavy and the strap system leaves a lot to be desired. To be fair though they are about 1/4 the price of a new Yeats dolly. This auction will probably close for about the cost of one of those steel "China" brand dollies.
It would be slick to have one of the motorized models but its a good excuse to invite company over with a manual dolly!
I got lucky during a visit to the Coon Rapids Dey Appliance store a several years back. They had slashed the prices of their Yeats carts. I think I got mine, brand new, for maybe 200 bucks? I know they retail for close to double that.
Yes, anytime I need to move a fridge from the basement to the driveway, I have to make sure I cycle through a few friends first before starting back at the top of the list!
