50's WESTINGHOUSE DRYER NEAR SF

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

This model needs the lint pulled out from between inner and outer drums no less than every year or the lint will lift the drum right up off the drive puck. A 10yo can do it. Wondering how I know that, I was the 10yo.

Start drivin' Kevin- you can be there by Saturday.

Actually Jon if I started driving now, I would be there by 2 pm.   It's only a 6 or so hour drive.

I spoke to the seller yesterday, very nice lady.    Turns out her father worked for Westinghouse back in the day.   We agreed on a price, pending finding someone in the area who can grab it for me.

I'm workin' it people!   Fingers crossed!

Update.......

It has proven more difficult than expected in finding someone in the area able pick up and hold this dryer for me.

I spoke to the seller again about 40 minutes ago and we've come to an agreement/arrangement.

She is going to hold the dryer for me and I'm driving up next weekend to collect it.

ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!

YAY! Congratulations, Kevin!! If you need any service advice on this model, let me know ... The neighbours STILL talk about the 'great blue flash in the horizion' when I first tried the CD6... LOL

The great blue flash in the horizon...

Was that the actual arc/short or you jumping 100ft backwards and up in the air at the same time? LOL!

Sorry about the change in plans, Kevin. It'll be a trip. Gonna take Westy? I can see it now; window down, head out the window with tongue and ears flapping in the wind... Maybe Westy might try it too.. LOL!!

Doing what I can to help keep Kevin's costs down but --

I know our girl Mia-The-Cat wouldn't be even remotely thrilled to have Westy around here, however it wouldn't be the first time her domain had been encroached upon by canine intruders.

Gonna take Westy?

Ohhh no.... Westy, like most young children, makes for a LOUSY passenger!   Except for the hour+ long trip when first bringing him home, the longest ride has been maybe 8 - 10 miles round trip.   During those rides he stands up, whines, sits down, whimpers, stands up, whimpers, sits down, stands up, whines, sits down, whimpers, whines some more and keeps asking "Are we there yet, Are we there yet, Are we there yet, ARE WE THERE YET???"

So no Andy, Westy will NOT coming along "for the ride"!

Plus I really have NO idea how he would respond to a cat!

Paul: Yes I remember that and I'm sure will be calling you... THANKS!
