Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Memories.

Hello Mike,

Reply 16; Where those `tricity' high level ovens pictured ?

Reply 21; mum had the more basic `electra' version which when the breeze block cracked my father (tight fisted git) attempted to compensate for the loose of balancing by replacing the springs with marine springs used in/for his hydraulics business. The consequent result was that when it spun it recreated that scene from open all hours when arcwrights clapped out single tub washer chucked a wobbler. Dad would not spend the money on a new machine so mum had to time when the spin cycle was due to allow her to stop the machine and load the wash into the proline spinner my father was prepared to buy, but only in the sale from a back street outlet in wolverhampton!

Cheers, Walter.

Afternoon Walter, the ovens are all lined up and fitted in the doorway wall of the first washerroom outside, we had a revamp couple of weeks ago...looking smart, all are wired for lights n timers not the heavy juice yet !!

ha ha, oh its false economy as we know to not fix the washer, great story, I could only imagine the noise !! I do remember seeing lots of these Electra washers about !!

What a great weekend it was, I am always keeping my fingers crossed that it will at least be dry, but it was almost too hot at the weekend and we all had to attend to wearing sun block to avoid sun burn.

Thanks to all for making it such a fun weekend with lots of useful work done too and thanks again to Mike to documenting it all so it is not just committed to memory but others can share the machines and the fun.

John, it would be great to see you over here again so hopefully we shall have the pleasure of your company in 2020. And that invitation goes to others too - both within the UK and outside. We had two new faces this weekend and we look forward to seeing them again in the future.

Here's looking forward to the next one :)

It looks like everyone had a great time in celebrating the holiday, love all the shirts with the pride look, especially the balloons on one of the Welsh Wales Boys, nice and simple and straight to the point. Happy Holidays to all.

Fantastic thread Mike

some brilliant photos of us all here Mike, thanks everyone for making it such a great weekend. Love my confused expressions in reply#65 looking into the hoovermatic washtub, "what no agitator, how's that supposed to work, won't it just tangle things up" ? lol.

Great to, to celebrate ourselves and join with the many pride events on at this time.

Mathew
