The machine was in ok condition when I got it. The only major issues were the cabinet (the paint was faded and had surface rust), the fill hose needed to be replaced and the timer needed to be rebuilt. I have an industrial rubber and hose distributor near me who does an expert and accurate job in replacing my dishwasher hoses and even uses the correct clamps. This machine can be loud at times. When it's completely filled it's not terribly noisy but when I'm only using the bottom rack and just doing larger pots and pans it can be noisy. Nice to hear from you again parunner58. the Westinghouse is going to stay as my backup and the hinge will be replaced.

Very nice dishwasher - you've done an expert-restore job!

I just took my '57 GE Mobile Maid over to live with a dishwasher-less friend. He doesn't do a lot of cooking and will be well served by the fun - and roar of the impeller worksaver!

Oh Kevin that is a nice Dishwasher, how fun. Looks like its an early D&M model. They made dishwashers for many different manufacturers. The racks look like they are just Mint, which is always good to find.

Your Kenmore looks like a fun machine and the resto appears to be perfect! Have you thought about getting a piece of plexi-glass to see the Forbidden Cycle? SO much fun on these D&M impeller machines.
