I am getting nowhere trying to find someone who might be able to repair the timer motor from my 56 GE washer/dryer combo. Places that had done this sort of work in the past no longer seem to be interested - I've tried clock repair places both locally and on-line and I'm still striking out...
I am launching this general appeal - if anyone knows of a person or company that can do this sort of work, please let me know.
I'll really go out on a limb and ask if anyone hears of a 55 or 56 GE washer/dryer combo coming up for sale, please let me know also.
I've given up on trying to get the dryer part of the unit working (the thermostat for the drying function is shot), but I was really hoping I could get at least the washer part running by the time I install the rest of the kitchen centre..
Here's a photo of the washer (with the rest of the set when I first got it), just in case you have seen one like it somewhere!
